Khalid has released his newest single, “Tied Up,” alongside fellow pop artist Lauv, marking the pair’s first official collaboration.
Produced by Jay Century, Lucas Sim, and Daniel, the track was written by Khalid, Lauv, and Michael Matosic. The new release arrives just as Khalid launched his It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour, which will travel across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
Khalid said in a statement: “’Tied Up’ is about the push and pull of love. Working with Lauv was effortless, and getting to perform it together on our upcoming tour around the world is going to be a whole different experience.”
Lauv shared similar excitement about finally collaborating after years of wanting to work together: “Khalid and I have been wanting to make a song together for a long time. We finally got in w/ some homies and had a great time. He’s one of the most talented singers of all time, and such a sick writer and performer. I’m very thankful for this tour! tied up!”
