Kehlani is continuing a strong 2026 run as her self-titled fifth studio album, Kehlani, opens at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 after earning 69,000 equivalent album units in its first week. The release has also becames the biggest debut for a female R&B album this year.

The project gives the Grammy-winning artist her fourth top-10 album on the Billboard 200 and third top-five entry overall. It also debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart, marking her fourth chart-topper there and seventh top-10 release on the ranking. In addition, the album earns her first-ever No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart after previous projects narrowly missed the top spot. The opening-week total marks a major increase from 2024’s Crash, which debuted with 20,000 units, and becomes Kehlani’s second-strongest opening week to date behind 2020’s It Was Good Until It Wasn’t.

Across other Billboard rankings, Kehlani also launches at No. 2 on Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums, while reaching No. 5 on both the Top Streaming Albums and Indie Store Album Sales charts.

Released through Atlantic Records on April 24, the album was executive produced by Khris Riddick-Tynes and features appearances from Brandy, Usher, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Missy Elliott, and Clipse. The album’s momentum has been fueled by the success of “Folded,” which earned Kehlani Grammy wins for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song earlier this year. The hit has since been certified double platinum and remains one of the singer’s most successful tracks to date.
